This month, Cupio attended Productronica 2017 in Munich. As the UK representative for Nordson DAGE, Nordson MATRIX and Nordson YESTECH, Cupio joined the large team of sales, marketing, applications and support engineers for the set-up and breakdown, as well as helping to man the 500m² booth across the 4 day show.

Productronica has taken place in Munich every two years since 1975, with this year’s show exceeding previous attendance rates by 20%. Andrew Bonner, Managing Director of Cupio, remarked on the noticeable increase of international visitors, Productronica also reported 44,000 guests from 85 countries.

The show has confirmed a positive growth forecast for the industry, with confident investment from across the European market. Nordson saw an increase in both enquiries and calls for further demonstrations across the whole product range and a number of confirmed orders were made at the show.

The whole booth was busy throughout the show and the positioning of the new product ranges from Nordson Select and Nordson Dima showed visitors the breadth of the Nordson offering to the electronics production and inspection industry. As a world leader in the provision of high resolution X-Ray and optical inspection systems to the industry, the Nordson Dage Quadra series drew serious interest from visitors looking for detailed X-Ray analysis for both production and failure analysis, while the new, Nordson Yestech, double sided optical inspection system, the FX942, was a crowd pleaser for those seeking inspection for both THT and coatings. Nordson Matrix were also showing their new range of in line X-Ray solutions for high speed, in-line, X-Ray inspection for PCBs and assemblies involving on the fly application of 2D, 2.5D and 3D technologies.

Overall, Productronica 2017 was very successful, giving a firm basis for business for the following years from good meetings with industry specialists, engineers, buyers and representatives from across the industry.
